I'm basically preaching to the choir for my awesome readers who bike (and run and swim and do other myriad of outdoor fun activities), but in the spirit of sharing...

Biking, and other forms of "active" commuting (like walking), may help reduce weight gain than driving to work.

Hi all!

So the One For Ten crew has been on the road now for a few weeks and they're working on their last three films!

If you haven't visited their website or looked at any of the films they've produced, take a gander.

The films highlight the personal experiences of death row exonerees from Kirk Bloodsworth, the first person to be exonerated by DNA evidence, to Sabrina Butler, the only American woman Continue reading

This post is a wee- bit late, but last weekend M and I went to the Sakura Matsuri (Japanese Street Festival) hosted by the Japan America Society on Penn Ave in D.C.

This is not what Japan is about...

Not exactly what I was expecting...

Based on the Japan America Society's website, the purpose of the annual street festival is to develop a cultural understanding of Japan, and strengthen Japanese-American relations. That's a pretty great mission, except this festival was less Japan and more 4chan Internet ComiCon/Anime convention...

Hello all!

If you aren't aware of One For Ten's amazing docu-series project going on right now, check it out because the group just posted their first interview with death row exoneree, Kirk Bloodworth, the first to be exonerated with DNA evidence.

After you check out the video, definitely check out One For Ten's blog because they have some informative posts about the death row system in the U.S. (like the Gideon v. Wainwright case).

Whether you support or oppose the death penalty, check out the project and support Continue reading

Most notably:
Yes, a vine is both easy to make (if you have an i-device) and easy to share, and can circulate readily even among people who don’t use the Vine app. Yes, the fact that someone shot a vine of this news broadcast probably got that explosion footage in front of more people, and in front of more people more quickly, than the Continue reading
